Care Teams
Care Teams are a core outreach of GracePoint Church’s women’s ministry.
“Each one should use whatever gifts he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”
What is a Care Team?
A Care Team is a group of women whose purpose is. . .
- To minister to each other and the body of Christ in practical ways as needs arise. (Hebrews 4:16)
- To encourage one another toward love and good deeds through their God-given gift-edness. (Hebrews 10:24)
- To warmly welcome new women into the congregation. (Hebrews 13:1-2)
- To enjoy fellowship with other Christ-followers. (Hebrews 10:25)
How is a Care Team organized?
There are seven Care Teams serving GracePoint Church. Each team is made up of women of all ages and stages of life. Two women on each team are co-leaders of the team. Leadership can rotate as needed.
Each woman is encouraged to participate in the life of her Care Team through praying for others, spurring others along toward growth in Christ, and meeting together when possible for friendship and fellowship.
What does a Care Team do?
Each Care Team functions in its own unique ways. There are many ways Care Team members can be a blessing to each other, their families, the church, and the community around them.
By meeting together in small groups, women have the opportunity to become better acquainted with other women who might share common interests or concerns. The body of Christ is strengthened and enriched when relationships are built on faith foundations.
By meeting needs when they arise, such as prayer support, meals, or helping with child care, women have the opportunity to pour themselves into another’s life.
By watching how God works in others’ lives, women are strengthened in their own walk with God.
Why should I get involved?
We would love to have every woman in the GracePoint Church Congregation be a part of a Care Team because we believe it is God’s plan for women to nurture each other and to come alongside as friends when “life” happens.
Ministering to one another as singles, young moms, newly marrieds, moms of teens, grandmas, widows, and friends is the Biblical mandate of Titus 2. We are called to spiritually strengthen those around us, even as they strengthen us.
Our hope is that you will prayerfully consider the invitation to share your life with the women of GracePoint.
Once you are comfortable settled in the congregation, we would like to include you on one of the seven Care Teams.
