Women's Ministry
Our GracePoint Women's Ministry Team exists to give women opportunities to grow in faith, service, and relationships by cultivating a culture of community and connection. We encourage our women to live life together by mentoring one another, studying God's word, and serving our church family and Atlantic community.
Our three areas of ministry include:
- Spiritual Growth - provides Bible study opportunities for women
- Care Teams - provide for the physical and spiritual needs of women in our body
- Community Outreach - provides opportunities for serving and sharing Christ in our community

Men's Ministry
Our heart is to see men flourishing by finding and living out their unique calling as a man, husband, father and each role we are called to. We provide many men’s and couples small groups. These are places for us to dive into good teaching, let down our guard, be real with each other. To get a list of the current small groups, please drop a note to our church office.
Small Groups
Our small group Bible studies and Sunday morning groups are a vital part of the life of our church. These studies take place throughout the year and at a variety of locations in people’s homes or at the church. Each study is based on the Word and encourages an atmosphere of prayerfulness and mutual care within the group.
SMALL GROUPS FOR MEN & WOMEN
- Monday Evenings, 7:00 pm at Link’s home. The Epic of Eden video study guide, “understanding the Old Testament as your story” by Dr. Sandra Richter beginning September 21 and facilitated by Emerson Link.
- Wednesday Afternoon/Evening, 3:30 pm or 6:00 pm at Heritage House in the Creativity Room. GriefShare Grief Support Group. RSVPs Great/Walk-ins welcome. Contact Vickie at 515-577-8162.
WOMEN’S GROUPS
- Tuesday morning, 9:00 am, studying Habakkuk by Dannah Gresh in the church Community Room. Contact Pam Russell if interested. Starts on September 22.
- Tuesday evening, 6:30 pm, studying James: Walking in Wisdom by Lydia Brownback at Linda Nichols' house. Contact Linda if interested. Starts on September 16.
- Wednesday afternoon, 1:30 pm, studying Isaiah: Striving Less and Trusting God More by Melissa Spoelstra in the church Community Room. Contact Joanne DeArment if interested. Starts on September 23.
MEN’S GROUPS
- Tuesday morning, 6:30 am, ongoing men’s group with prayer and accountability, hosted by Chad Williams at Lee Williams' home in Atlantic. This group alternates between studying a book of the Bible and a ministry book study. (Currently The Gospel of John.) Contact Chad if interested.
- Wednesday evening, 6:45 pm, study topic/book TBD. Contact Dick Nichols if interested.
- Thursday evening, 6:30 pm, studying Be Hopeful: How to Make the Best of Times Out of Your Worst of Time by Warren Wiersbe, hosted by Ron Russell in the Community Room. Contact Ron if interested. Begins September 24.
- Saturday Mornings @ 7:30 am - (approximately quarterly) men’s breakfast gatherings for fellowship and encouragement for each other in our faith walk.
LIFE GROUPS
Small groups committed to helping each other live out our faith.

Adult Bible Fellowship
Each Sunday morning at 9:15 am, we offer an Adult Bible Fellowship. This is an opportunity for to study God’s Word and discuss how it applies to our daily life. We typically offer one to three groups each quarter.
Adult and Youth Sunday School Class
Sunday Mornings @ 9:15 am @ GracePoint Church - A three week study focusing on the inerrancy of scripture will be offered in the community room starting September 20th. The study will cover a documentary titled, "Can I Trust the Bible" and will focus on the books of the bible, the text of the bible, and what happened at the council of Nicaea. The content was created by Wes Huff, a Canadian, and a Reformed Baptist, Wes is one of the leading modern apologists for the faith.
Sunday Mornings @ 9:15 am @ GracePoint Church - RVL Discipleship (Part 4) will be happening in the auditorium. This is our final part of the video-driven Bible study program created by renowned biblical historian Ray Vander Laan, and produced by Focus on the Family. The series is built around understanding the Bible through its original first-century Eastern and Jewish context. It explores the cultural concepts of historical rabbis and their devoted followers (talmidim) to show how modern believers can bridge the gap between knowing Scripture and embodying it daily.
We also offer a children's Sunday School class at this time, back in the classroom in the south hallway.
Sunday School for youth meets in the downstairs youth room. High Schoolers may choose to join the youth group or the adult class.
Care Teams
God has called us to care for one another. One practical way we have found for that to work itself out is through our Care Teams. Our care teams desire to minister to each other and the body of Christ in practical ways as needs arise. We invite you to find out more about this vital ministry of GracePoint Church.
